You can add pictures to a blog by dragging the image or by clinking the icon next to the underlined word "link". you can the alter the size by clicking on the image, at the bottom of the mage you'll get a list of sizes ranging from small to extra large, the above picture is its original size.
Adding pictures is something i do to 'fill' my blog with color and creativity along with helping point people in a direction they might not have gone otherwise.
Other changes i made to my blog was setting the theme and changing the fonts and the colors to suit my Graveyard. i did this by selecting the template tab and browsing threw what they had.
I also changed the layout to include a followers link so i could see who was watching me, so far its just little ol me.
These are what i picked out to suit the Graveyard and slightly romantic goth feel for the blog.
